- Dr. Michael Vogele, Interventional Systems’ founder, will be stepping down as the company’s CEO
- Pedro Costa, formerly Chief Product Officer (CPO) and the company’s oldest employee after the founding team, will be taking on the CEO role.
- Srdjan Milosavljevic, who’s been leading our R&D team for several years, is now Interventional Systems’ Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and he joins Pedro, Thomas Pfeifer (co-founder and CFO – Chief Financial Officer), and Patrick Lambardt (COO – Chief Operating Officer) in our company’s C-suite.
Dr. Vogele’s mark in Interventional Systems is much more than that of a founder and CEO. Surely that alone would have sufficed: his love for creating bold solutions alongside his understanding that practice made perfect are at the very core of why our products are as well-rounded as they are, our company’s distinctive trace.
But more than that, Michael set the tone for what would be the company’s key values: a restless love for all good ideas, an unrelenting willingness to try new things and the absolute certainty that if you want to be surrounded by the best, you must treat them like so.
These principles are now a part of our ethos and, even if we know that Michael is still going to be collaborating closely with us, even if it is in stealth mode, we are all going to miss him dearly. Thank you, Michael.
As for Pedro Costa and Srdjan Milosavljevic, the company’s new CEO and CTO, both of them have been with Interventional Systems for several years and both have taken and thrived on leadership roles.
Pedro and Srdjan have had a very active participation in the design, development and commercialization of our company’s products, and those skills make them most suitable for the new phase the company is entering, one entailing broader business development and the diversification of the products’ applications.
We’ve seen Pedro and Srdjan blossom into two of the most knowledgeable, devoted and kind leaders we know, so we are looking forward to what’s to come.
