It’s fair to say that 2020 was the kind of year we all want to wrap up and store at the very back of the cabinet.
But even in a year as challenging as this, we at Interventional Systems have a lot of conquests to be proud of.
And because recognizing silver linings is especially relevant in a year as grim as this one, let us walk you through what made us happy in 2020:
- We launched Micromate! Our new and improved robot was rolled out this year. This has been a very challenging project but we managed to deliver it with aplomb, especially because…
- We installed Micromates! Micromate’s first installations were a roaring success and the robot is now up and running in several hospitals across Europe.
- Our friends over at Fusion Robotics won an astounding prize! Our spine fusion venture from across the pond, Fusion Robotics, won the award for Best Spine Technology in the Best New Spine Technologies Awards 2020. Congratulations, team!
- We expanded our iFIX suite! iFIX was missing products for surgery that made for a more seamless work in the operating room, and that’s why we came up with a set of products designed specifically for that purpose: the iFIX Arm-Rest will allow the surgeon to have easier access to the patient during abdominal interventions, while the iFIX Spider Fleece and the iFIX Side-Rail Adapter continue to provide high-end patient positioning performance. With applications in diagnostic imaging, emergency care, image-guided therapy and now surgery, iFIX ticks all the boxes.
- We expanded our operation! We now have clients in four different continents and over 20 countries.
- Our team grew – in size AND in geographic reach! We’re bigger, better, and sunnier than ever before! Our team grew by 31% this year, we opened a new office in Untermeitingen (Germany) and by the end of the year we realized we needed some Mediterranean warmth so we opened a new office in Portugal too!
